Sainsbury’s Garnachas by Norrel Robertson in The Guardian

We are delighted to see two wines made by Norrel Robertson for Sainsbury’s reviewed in the Guardian newspaper by Fiona Beckett.

Beckett reviews two Garnachas from two different D.O.s in Aragón made especially for Sainsbury’s, saying:

“Sainsbury’s has just added two impressive Spanish garnachas to its own-label Taste the Difference range. I prefer the Campo de Borja bottling below to the Old Vine Calatayud (currently on offer at £10), which, at 15%, is a bit of a belter, but both are really well made.”

Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Garnacha 2020 £9, 14.5%. I love this rich, generous, lipsmacking Campo de Borja red. Recommended for chorizo dishes, which seems spot on.”

Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Old Vine Garnacha 75cl Calatayud

This full-bodied red is elegant and complex with richly concentrated notes of luscious plum and juicy black cherry.
The intense fruit flavours are balanced by a fresh acidity and hints of spicy black pepper on the finish. (Tasting note by Sainsbury’s)
